Coach Delroy Chance

The Delroy Chance Angel Wings Foundation was put into action after the sudden and tragic death of our 25-year old son, Coach Delroy Chance. Delroy was a dedicated high school coach, an inspiring counselor and mentor, and a devoted youth football camp leader. It is because of his sacrifice and selflessness in the community that we continue to honor his life and legacy through supporting and serving others.

The Delroy Chance Angel Wings Foundation (DCAWF) Mission is to inspire and enable our youth to realize their full potential as productive, responsible caring citizens, by providing athletic equipment, sports physicals, academic support, team meals, and athletic enhancement camps to young athletes of Greater Toledo, Ohio.

We are a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, nonprofit organization founded in 2018. EIN: 83-0819829

Drop-Off Location!

Our Annual Cleat Giveaway has always exceeded our goals! In 2018 (250) pairs of brand new cleats, 2019 (500) pairs. In 2020, due to COVID restrictions, the event was canceled, but we refocused the objective on helping our community by giving away (150) winter coats. In 2021 (600), 2022/2023 over (500) cleats, (300) Mouthpieces, (500) socks, (300) bags full of toiletries - soap, deodorant, foot powder, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and body wash. Box lunches provided with a sports drink included with coupons to Dicks Sporting Goods.

Special Guest appearances from Toledo's own NFL Football Players including James Hudson III (Cleveland Browns) and Tycon Anderson (Cincinnati Bengals).

On Saturday, July 20, 2024, we will host the 6th Annual Cleat Giveaway at the University of Toledo: Fetterman Training Center 1925 N. Douglas Road Toledo, OH 43606!
